This is my submission to the 2023 GMTK Game Jam Competition – Roles Reversed.

I liked this idea from the start of my brainstorming and got to work on it within an hour of the jam beginning. It’s a fairly basic score-attack game with some multiplier build up included to add some risk/reward. Getting drunk and skipping the queue increases your score multiplier, but getting drunk makes the controls much harder to handle. Be careful to not black out, and avoid ordering bad ingredients which damage you!

I didn’t have the time to fully tweak all the numbers, I wanted there to be a good balance between trying to maintain a certain level of drunk-ness (??) while keeping a strong score multiplier, but I didn’t manage to fully get that done in time.

There is one bug I know of, where the queue will not move forwards sometimes if you skip when at the front. Just keep skipping until you get to the front of the queue and it should sort itself out.

Any other bugs that break the game or anything please do tell me!

I hope that everyone had as much fun as I did this year, and I hope to be back next year as well. And, I am also hoping that Mark plays my game in one of his streams this year like he did back in 2021.
